except assulin was a 19 year old with one senior apperence and a broken leg where as afellay is 26 has 250 top flight apperences for barca and PSV has 4 dutch titles a spanish title, a champions league winners medal and played in the dutch side that finished as world cup runners up

He is on the fringe at Barca for a reason - that reason is he is good but not amazing
He is good enough for us IMO and set up Messi's goal in the Champions League semi against Real Madrid last season with some great skill. He's been injured all season though, but with the breakthrough of Catalan boys Cuenca and Tello, plus the signing of Sanchez, will probably be available. I wouldn't have him on my top five list but I'd welcome almost any good winger at the moment.

He showed some great skill in one game so lets buy him? Peter Crouch scored a wonder goal against us so lets buy him as well.
The guy is a good player but I think we can get better.

I watch Barcelona every week and his talent wasn't exclusive to a Champions League semi final. That he was on the pitch in a Champions League semi final should point to his impressive performances before that game. He wouldn't be on my top list of candidates either but he is definitely good enough to play for us and I wouldn't complain if Mancini signed him.
