Ibrahimovic

He's 30 this October !

At just about every level you look at he would be a terrible signing too old too likely to fail moving to the prem at his sort of age as with sheva and crespo.

Too slow his style of play doesn't suit our league. He has come out and said he doesn't want to play in England . Put what spin on it you want I don't know any city fan personally that would be happy signing him. Have we learned nothing from the many failures we have had signing forwards in recent years ?

Alera you are going off on a tangent, you compare him to Aguero but then move away from that and say he is too old.....

As for not knowing any city fan personally I cant comment but on this forum it is clear there is a cross section of those for and against it.

All i will say is that if he did sign he gets my backing but I dont think we need him, which is saying something about how far we have come and the quality we already have.

We do however, imo, need a 4th striker to support Tevez, Dzeko and Balo to allow for injuries, form, suspensions and the number of games.

Certain players will give more for a favorite manager and Ibra and Mancini fall into that group.
Ibra may have had a few poor games vs english teams and people think he would struggle in the prem but i think otherwise. There is no doubt he is a world class player and he would bang the goals in for us he may not be the fastest player in the world but he is one of the most skillful and can rip teams apart on his own look at what happened during the week came of the bench for Sweden and scored 3 not to shabby.
I do think Mancini will get the best out of him and the guy is a winner he has won things at every club

Dont think we can have 2 forwards that RM might be able to get the best out of

Just out of interest have you ever seen Ibrahimavic play?

He is like Drogba he doesnt not rely on pace whatsoever so could last till he is 35 ish. And he is built like a complete tank.

Yes and is the type to get 20 goals and 10 assists.

There are a lot of new rumours from a Swedish newspaper known to have links with Ibra's party that Mancini is sending feelers out to Ibra to try and sign him. I don't know if it's true but he's a better player than Dzeko and Mario combined IMO and just a beast of a footballer. It would be interesting to see how well an Aguero/Ibra partnership would function. He definitely wouldn't get so easily bullied off the ball like Dzeko is in the air and box. But I can't see Txiki and Soriano endorsing such a deal for a player over 30 who would demand mammoth wages.
