Woke belongs in the same category as words/phrases such as SJW, virtue signaller, cutural marxism and other right wing nonsense that is used to deflect from scrutiny and embed a feeling of victim culture in the perpetrator of the usage.

No it's not. People on the left (American left here) started "Stay Woke" which acquired many parts along the way, including, Feminist thought, intersectionality, Me too movement, Cancel Culture etc Which all columinated in what is now generally deemed as 'Woke' ... It wasn't the Alt Right who did that.

Yes, White Racists and Separatists are promoters of white identity Politics. Hence why we thought them Racist. Funnily though, it seems they've found friends on the far left who believe in the very same ideas. And the leftists found their racist, sexist ideas all on their own.

You just trying to poison the well or something? they also use "identity politics" as you do... Why does it matter what descriptors people use?

Anyway, if you don't like the woke stuff on the left just distance your version of leftism from it, don't try to destroy language. Trying to make out that all politics is identity politics in an attempt to hide the very real new phenomena spilling out from universities just because they're in some ways 'of the left' is foolish, and it's exactly what they want to make of politics (and wider society)
