Unfortunately the more successful we are then we will head towards being like Chelsea or dare I say it, the scum.
Day trippers who can afford the prices will overtake the original working man from going to game.
It's sad but it's the price you pay for success.

It doesn't have to be though. Alright, we have to comply with FFP but there are other revenue streams to achieve this. City could be the club that shows the way for fairness for supporters. Unfortunately it does seem like we are heading down this route though. I can no longer call many of the prices of away grounds disgusting because City are now the same.

Yes its changing maybe it has already changed.
If you listen to the chairmans interview talking about the City brand and being number one in the Arab emirates and exploiting opportunities in the Asian market(-which make sense from a business point of view) then yes it is a different club.
MCFC is very much a business entity far removed from what it was.Positive in terms of success on the field and the effectiveness of its business leadership but these days very much a business brand within the premier league franchise and all that entails-which includes match day pricing.

Season ticket prices are still far from pricing at least 36,000 diehard fans out of going IMO. Our ST prices are the best value in the league and still affordable for people like myself (not high income). The remaining 8,000 or so could definitely lead to more tarquins and tourists in the nosebleeds though if the Southampton prices become the norm.

As fans on this forum it has always been our belief that it would/could happen.Just unfortunate that its happening quicker than we envisaged,or is that a good thing ?

It's not just us, in 20 years attending a game will be free, everything will be through a device. They will allow fans in for free for atmosphere and to gee the players on.

Our average price per seat achieved is a little more than £20. The rags is a little over £60.
