How about Adam Johnson whipping in a perfect cross for Ade to bullet head into the top corner. How about a crunching NDJ tackle or a Richards burst through the middle of the pitch. Just something positive. Please.

For service we need wide men on their correct wings and/or a creative midfielder behind the striker

i would like a keeper that can come and collect the ball from anything launched in, how about taylor in for games like this. i know given is a better stopper but their only threat will be aerial.

This crossed my mind surely its better than Given staying rooted to his line!!

You clearly don't like Vieira! The team I picked was Identical to yours except Richards for Zab and Vieira for De Jong. I think Vieira's lack of mobility will not be a major problem tonight but his height and heading will be a major bonus in the box defensively.

Pacey wingers who can attack the full backs, tough players to break possesion up and make strong tackles, lots of players who can all play football, two strikers who can get their heads on crosses.

maybe but johnson on the left and bring swp on with 20-25 minutes left to attack tired legs.

with this team i would be worried with the lack of attacking midfield so if we are creating nothing ireland should be brought on and be given direct instructions to attack with meaning.
