If Liverpool or United achieved the same results, there would be no debate

Have you seen the other teams this season? In the main, they've been garbage. And I don't mean against us. On their own, they've been tripe.
And 5 English clubs got to the CL knockout phase, 2 to the QF and 1 to the final. There must be an awful lot of tripe out there.

Totally agree. Neville et al set the narrative. He started this ‘your not great until you defend it narrative’. He spends most games discussing how teams can or should stop us.

The fact is we’ve smashed records held by multiple ‘great teams’and done it in one season. In fact breaking a record held by Spurs since 61!!

Had Klopp or Mourinho achieved what we had you can only imagine the media love in!
By the Shearer/Neville definition of "great" the Arsenal invincibles are bang average.

Yeah I always wonder why they were ‘great’ and we’re not.If we retained the title we’d need to win the Champions League then win the league 3 times. Blah, blah, blah!

It's an interesting anomaly that, isn't it. Although you're citing a cup competition in which anything can happen. Not exactly the same performance over a season in a league.

Bottom line is you're not suggesting that the level of performances and consistency United have displayed this season has been "good' have you? They've been fucking awful and have come 2nd comfortably, which tells you all you need to know about the quality.

Utd got where they did brcause they had the best
(saving) keeper in the world between the sticks - no other reason.
Spurs and Liverpool were better at football - though not consistent enough.

Yup - but if your metric is - win if you can, but whatever you do, don't lose, then Arsenal's record moves to the forefront.

I agree that we're the better side - but an argument can be made for Arsenal.
The Invincibles wouldn’t have even won the league with their 90 points in SEVEN other Premier League seasons, never mind however many other league seasons all-time.

Our Centurions would have won every single league title ever in the history of English football

It's not about how many titles (different conversation), it's about the here and now and right now we're the best English team of all time - not just the Prem. Fifteen billionaires/multibillionaires now own English clubs - together with the Sky money clubs have never had so much cash to invest in decent players. The old mini-league of MU, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool is a thing of the past - everyone else was a pauper face at the window - boring as hell and needed shaking up. 100 points and all the other records is even more remarkable in this day and age. Everton fans used to give us stick for our financial firepower, but now they've won the lottery and gone quiet about the money. I wonder why ?

We win this argument hands down.
