Im trying to think of worst case scenario here.

Me and my old man were talking this morning about Mancini and what happened last Tuesday night. My dad said look over at Old Trafford, Jaap Stam, Lee Sharpe, David Beckham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, all players that have been booted from United by Ferguson, and the manager was backed to the hilt by his board. My dad also claims that this has made the players respect Ferguson more and they realise one wrong move will see them out of United.

Now on the flip side and Tevez, if City went down another route, different to them at the swamp, we seem to think that Mancini's position would be comprimised and it would give him no other option but to walk away from City. When it comes to team affairs, as Ferguson has proved time and again, the managers decision should be final.

If Mancini says Carlos is finished then that should be it, there should be no ifs, no buts, there should only be 100% backing for the manager.

If Mancini isn't backed, and his position is made untenible. How would that make you the fan feel? Would you act on it, by not attending matches, boycotting merchandise, food,l drink etc. Lets be honest, we'd have done it in the past, we've done it in the past.

Or would you think, hang on, we've never had it so good at City with the money Mansour has ploughed into the club, and you would swallow pride and accept that even though the right decision hasn't been made, (and the villain has stayed while the one not in the wrong has gone,) we wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for Sheikh Mansour?

If Mancini doesn't get 100% backing over the Tevez strike the players will be running the joint within 24 hours. And that will be that.

Not 1 single person, manager or player is bigger than the club. My opinion, i will always support my club but managers and players will come and go
This but i can't believe that our owners would back kettleneck on this one.
Oh no i know they will but i wouldnt boycott the club if they sacked Mancini as well or something like that

I know not everyone would like this but IMO Mancini shouldn't have spoken to the media that way right after the game because he kind of gave Tevez what he wanted, Tevez now will certainly be sold half the price he's worth (The problem could have been treated inside...)

Now that things went this way, I'd like the Club to back Mancini all the way and get rid of Tevez of course. We'll value Mancini's work at the end of the season not before that.

For the hypothetical question... If Mancini was to leave, I'd like to see Guus Hiddink take over.

Well Ricster, I've given this a lot of thought and if the board does not back Bobby 100% (and that means getting rid of Tevez now or in Jan) its a sad day for football and I for one will lose a lot of faith in how the sport is run and played.
If Mancini says he's finished, he's finished. for Mancini and/or the club to back down, signals the end of the correct hierarchy that a successful football club or any corporate structure needs to function with.
Players having strops, not going on, tweeting inflamitory or derogatory comments etc.. etc.. is just not acceptable.
The moment thay are considered more valuable than the manager its the end of that club for that period in time.
I love my football club and have done since I knew footballs were round, but if Tevez is "let off" in any way, Mancini would walk and I would not stop supporting but would be ashamed for the first time to be a blue.
There - I've said it - our club would be shameful if that gutter rat stays and even more shameful if the best manager we've had in decades goes.

Its a turning point because if the club decides on a strong swift action we can be the opposite of shameful and lead the way for the future.
