a post in the recent topic about Supporting Your Local Club had me thinking:

How would you feel if say we continued our success many fans from all over the world Migrated from supporting The Rags/Chelski and started buying our tickets/merchandise and so on?

Would you see it as an achievement or as a failure if we suddenly had 300mil Followers?

Now the likelihood that we would change clubs is minimal as we actually Support the club and have some form of connection other than a HDMI Cable running into our TV, but the huge fan base the Rags have around the world of gloryhunters it seems would jump ship at the flick of a remote control button.

My only concern is being able to buy tickets for games. if demand increases then presumably so would the price, pricing myself and many others out of City?
I'm a match goer, but a tourist who may come over here once a year would be willing to spend more money at the stadium than myself who comes regularly.

The price of tickets would probably be the only downside and then obviously if you have to miss a few games due to pricing, other people will get more points, and then the availibility of tickets will be a problem.

At the end of the day folk will do whatever it takes to get to a match, i've never ever been to a match and not got in.

If some bod from 5000 miles away decides on takin their City interest a step further reality n' plans on jettin in once or twice a term then i say fuckinwell good on em, experience of a lifetime for those that do.

so far so good in terms of our ticket prices - I think the owners have excellent morals and would not look to piss off the traditional supporters - the only downside is twatini, whose stupid fucking rules make it difficult for owners to apply generous ticket prices -twatini you really are a stupid count

As long as the ticket prices stay reasonable I don't think we will really notice the difference for the bigger games. The people sat around me are the same as they were years ago.

When I've moved around the ground for cup games I have experienced a few 'new' fans. If the regulars can't be arsed going to watch City vs Birmingham then I'd rather have a few tourists than empty seats everywhere.

Could tell all the Tourists did'nt turn up at the swamp last night; ALL THEM EMPTY SEATS, ABOUT 20,000 WOULD YOU SAY??? HEHEHEHEHE, I can feel a song coming on.

I fucking dread the day when its the prawn sandwich brigade, plastic glory hunting, none Manc, no loyalty tourist day tripper tw*ts are filling our ground. All you have to do is look at the official City facebook page to see its already happening!

I sometimes think there's too many mancunians, yeah its good that locals go to the games unlike at the swamp but I'd rather see a mixture of people, it gives the place a better feel.
