Personally speaking, I'd park around Portslade (free parking to the west of the Station , and use match ticket for the train .

The Victoria is a great old school pub and Justin the fella on the Door is a Blue.

Does Brighton have a harbour, I could sail across if so, although with my luck tide times would be against me

Brighton is only about 15 miles across the water from me but I've never been to the place.

There are trains direct to Brighton from Gatwick. 25-35 mins.

No direct flights from Manchester to Gatwick anymore.
