Reports suggest Mourinho wants to leave Inter and come back to England, with City or Liverpool his likely destination!

Now, If we do the right thing and sack Hughes, do you think todays Champions League Draw (Chelsea v Inter Milan) will have an effect on whether or not we get Mourinho!?

I wouldn't be surprised if it were true, but what reports are these? And why would anyone with a scrap of sanity want to take over the Scouse job? Can't see it myself. Not whilst the two warring Yanks are the ones doing the asking.

no i think the only thing to affect that is the man himself,if he showed a desire to come that would set the wheels in motion(to good to ignore)and therfore spell the end for hughes.i my self think i am ready for mourinho football, like a machine ,not always good on the eye but we would win somethingand for that reason alone we are mr mouriho we are waiting

What concerns me is that the squad does need improving in certain areas, at the back definitely. However, if we sack Hughes what manager of world class ilk will come in now? Also, January is fast upon us, will this give a new manager enough time to get in potential targets. With this in mind what do we do, back Hughes till the end of the season, hope a few new additions will get the team back on track. Or do we sack him for the sake of sacking him, get someone in short term and then hope we get Mourinho etc in the summer? I just cant see us upheaving the whole club halfway through a season. Hughes needs to improve and fast but I think he'll be here till summer at least. (I'm an inner btw, I want Hughes to be a success but he is rightly under pressure atm)

No, I don't think he wants to change teams in the middle of the season anyway.

I don't care how shite boring we get, as long as we're winning. Let the likes of the Spuds do the beautiful stuff. We want loads of trophies and Mourinhio knows how to get them.

The squad is good! whats wrong is obvious! the manager! look at our attacking play! we dont have any strategy or filosofy what so ever! we need a manager who can give the scuad a strategy when they play! Huge really proved to be a second class manager!

don't want Mourinho. Success can come at too high a price with that fucker if you ask me.

Agree, for once we actually seem to have a fairly settled group of people running the place, i wouldn't swap a few trophies for the club becoming a circus again, when there are other managers just as capable, without causing the place to implode.

Mourinho = 2-3 years of success + absolute carnage. Appoint a manager with a view to the long term, not a quick fix.

At least Hughes has a bit of tact and knows when to hold his tongue.

I'd like Mourinho back in English football, because it's entertaining, but not here.
