If we get a new RB in January...

Richards for me. Both have shown good quality at times and I can't pick the one I like better for what he can give to the team. But Richards is home grown and for that, I think the club should value him more than Zabaleta.

Keep Richards, hes still young and for all we know... he could be a world-class RB in 3-5 years time.

Zaba for me.

both for me - they are both young and flexible - can cover multiple positions

Richards - D.O.B - 24 June 1988
Zabaleta - D.O.B - 16 Jan 1985

Zab isn't exactly "old" either... in fact he's less than three years older than Richards.

Zab is the better player by a long shot, the only problem is his tendancy to put in the odd hefty tackle which means he picks up a lot of cards (as he did on the weekend, though the first yellow was pretty soft).

Richards has been shaky for nearly two seasons now - and shows little sign of improving enoung imho. He was largely at fault for the Wigan goal because he didn't close down Rodallega.

Zab is working his way into the Argentina setup whilst Richards is a long, long way from getting back in the England team - says it all for me really.

Bottom line is that Richards is too much of a liability as things stand. If he is to stay at MCFC he needs to be shipped out on loan till he proves himself. Send him to Birmingham to work with Joe Hart - after all if both players are the future of the club it makes sense they should play together.

Remember we also have Nedum who is a better footballer than Richards either at RB or CB. Nedum is also more intelligent and has a more mature outlook than Richards so he is ahead of him mentally as well.

Zab all day......... when all hands on deck are needed the man is at the front of the line with njd and bellars, and i happen to know he is a hughes favorite......... richards needs to keep walking the mile

Taxi for Richards. Perhaps Hughes will make a bid for Corluka...the clown should never have sold him.
