Where this work is tends to be away from large cities and poorly served by public transport, especially so when you consider the start times of the work. Car ownership is low in the section of the population that would need to pick this kind of work up.
I was firmly in the camp that said it was ridiculous we needed foreigners to come over here and pick out fruit for us, but it’s simply inaccessible for a lot of ppl.
