I didn't go last night as I am feeling a bit under the weather, as they say.

Some of the so called big time Bluemooners never seem to go to games but feel they can have an opinion on City and slag off the real supporters.

Foreigners and people on the dole not included.

That'd be half a weeks money! Haha. I know from experience.

Saying Foriegners could be perceived to be a bit racist couldn't it? Not by me personally but by the extreme PC's on this board.
Oh shit, I hope stonerblue isn't watching ;)

Some people just want something to bitch about. Mark Hughes is safe until we lose again, so the easiest target is the fans.

Your wrong M8 personally I go to watch the team not the crowd and I couldn't care less if it was just me and my son sat watching.
The truth is City fans have always had poor attendances in cup competitions but if they don't want to go thats fine with me however if people are dissapointed in other fans thats there right too because the truth is the vast majority just couldn't be arsed.
All of this is nothing to do with Hughes and the fans who went last night are the same fans who cheered when the stupid Hughes banner was pulled down.

Unemployed and skint now. Doubtful can even renew season ticket I have held since 1983. Thats why I watched it on tv. If that makes me a c*nt, and those singing it feel they are 'better' supporters than me, then fine.

Wankers.

These threads are funny as fuck.

City's following is not as big as people make out. Last night (along with many other nights) proves the point.

The scums following (albeit 99.99999% foreign to Manchester) is possibly more than 10 times that of City.

As a percentage, more fans might have gone to the game last night than that of the Rags V Inter game, but they still sold out because of the sheer number of bandwagon jumpers, tourists and southerners that follow the scum like sheep.

Then you should know that the chants were not aimed at you or supporters like you they were aimed at people who couldn't be arsed I didn't join in myself because I couldn't care I don't go to watch the crowd.

Was there not a credit crunch last week against Villa? Was that a midweek game? Was there a credit crunch at old trafford or anfield?

The excuses coming from the no shows are getting worse.

we have30,000 season ticket holders ? they are not goin to miss a game!! we all cant afford to have a season card and pay for other tickets as well .

what do we as city fans want our team to achieve this season?if its to win uefa cup ,then we should as supporters drum up as big a crowd as possible.if we get through lets make a real effort as individuals to fill the ground.im certain there were thousands of blues watching in pubs round manchester spending at least the 20/25 pound ticket price.

You know who the biggest cnuts are?...

Those who think they can tell anyone else how & when to support their team.

We have about 25k season ticket holders probably about 20k of them there last night
so where were 15k fans that turned up and payed for the Villa game during this credit
crunch. Not having a go at people that genuinely can't afford it or are working away
it's the fuckers that will be screaming for tickets if we get to the final and trust me
they will find a way to get to that night match.

An absolute disgrace that attendance .Well done to everyone that attended

To those who went to the match - I'm proud of you.

To those who were unable to for whatever reason (like myself) - I feel for you.

To those who were able to, but couldnt be bothered - I'm dissapointed in you.

I think there will be very few of the latter.

If we were playing United you'd have been able to afford a ticket.

Why don't the no shows and the apologists just say 'It's the UEFA cup and I can't be fucking arsed'?

That would take courage jay; the truth is we know most couldn't be arsed but why worry lets move on and just enjoy the result. I thought the crowd was brilliant last night anyway and the singing section created a good atmosphere.

People have different opinions on what constitutes 'unable' to attend. Some people on this thread seem to regard being skint (not my reason for not going) & having to prioritise which games you can attend as not being a valid reason not to go. Personally, I think it is, and the fans having a go at others for this reason obviously don't live in the real world.

Well why can you not accept that many fans have to prioritise which games they can attend? I love City, but my family (and our future) comes first every time. It costs me, on average & not being a ST holder, well over £100 for each game I attend (bringing one more with me). If you can afford that for every game, then congratulations, you obviously have less commitments or a better paid job than many of us.
