Was it Everton that we're linked with this guy? I'm sure I've seen him linked with someone elsewhere?
 
Ledley is going to be a fine player, not sure he'd get a first team spot at our club the way it's going at the moment.
 
The sort of signing that could turn good, for example Jagielka, good championship player and made the step up to the Prem and even Europe quite comfortably, after abit of getting used to.

Another reason we should be confident with Hughes. Not always looking for the major signings, but looking for the gems in a lower division....if the link is true!

Look at Cahill he's been a brilliant signing for Everton this guy could be the same sort of player as Cahill
 
I said a couple of weeks ago that Cardiff are after Evens but they want him on a loan. I know they have made enquires but dont know what has happened from our end?

They're selling Johnson to Birmingham so might have a few quid to spend, unless they use it all to pay off some of their ridiculous amount of debt.
 
I'm all for taking a chance on a Championship player but I'm not convinced by Ledley. I followed that league very closely last season because I was playing the Telegraph's Championship Fantasy Football (finished 5th, won 250 quid) and Ledley was in my team for a lot of it. He probably cost me the outright win. Not many assists, not many goals, very average. The Cardiff fans I spoke to thought he was overrated. Still, he's young and should improve, we need cover for Ireland, and Evans/Etuhu have no future with us so not a bad move if it happens.

From watching the Championship last season the players I'd be most interested in are Kris Commons at Derby and Angel Rangel at Swansea.
