Iheanacho and Nwakali

Give him a game with the EDS first so we can be like other clubs and claim him as an academy product.

The iheanacho deal is done, he was in Manchester on Monday, City are pushing for a work permit for him to hopefully get him in the first team squad for January, if not then he will need to be loaned out initially.
I'd presumed that since he couldn't sign a professional contract with us until he'd turned 18 that he could be included as soon as his work permit comes through? There's no need to wait until the window opens surely?

That is great news,a real talent who could potentially save us a fortune as well as injecting some spark back into the squad.

Fingers crossed on that permit.

Has Nwakali secured a contract also?

Think he has as he's already out on loan to a Belgium side

I think he meant January as that would be the time frame needed to get the work permit sorted

Berahino would have been a good signing for us but when we have Iheanacho on our books then we could have our own home grown talent to play as a striker for us. From the pre season games he looked a great prospect certainly better than Sturridge looked at the same age, and Guidetti for that matter. I'm very surprised the club don't appear to be getting on with this and either giving him game time with a "feeder" club, bringing him into our first team squad or loaning him out to a Portuguese/Spanish side or a Belgium/Dutch team. He could be World class in a year or two (if not already). I think we are running a real risk of him getting fed up with City and finding another club, but maybe no news is good news ?
