IIkay and Bernardo

Read somewhere today that Arsenal were gonna try and poach Gundog because he’d quite fancy the idea of working with Arteta.

Lol people get paid to write such nonsense
The difference on this one is he will be out of contract so free to go where he wants. Wouldn't necessarily rule that one out although like you I doubt it would be his final destination.

Desperately hoping that both stay. So vital on the pitch and off if too.

After his performances this season I'm sure Gundo will get his 2 year deal and I just hope no one comes in for Bernardo.

We need to enhance the squad further with fresh players hungry to keep winning. The majority of the squad will have the mentality to kick on again, but we need to make sure that happens by strengthening.

Where is it coming from that he wants a 2 year deal? Or that the club want to give him only 1.

He looks to me like a guy who already knows his decision to leave, and Pep looks fine with it. Has a look of kompany, dinho, yaya, silva about it all. Sergio is the only one we knew about well in advance, the rest all kept it quiet and got on with the season.

If they both have emotional attachments to City as deep as I think they do, I’d honestly be amazed if either ended up at another English team. I’m convinced Gundo would go elsewhere and not stay in the PL to play for one of our rivals.

I’m leaning towards predicting Gundo staying and Bernie leaving. Now I love them both to death and wish them both stay like everyone else. They both played exceptionally well recently (Gundo’s 2 goals vs Leeds then Everton gave us the league and Bernie’s 2 goals vs Madrid sent us to Istanbul), but I feel Bernie has expressed more openly his desire to explore somewhere else. He has answered hypothetical questions with comparison between playing in PL and Ligue 1 for instance, while Gundo has not (or at least I’m not aware of) commented about La Liga and such. Anyway, I have mad respect for them both for their professionalism and dedication to City and I only wish them the very best should they decide to leave this summer. They have contributed the best of their respective careers to city and that’s the least we could do.

I also heard he is finding it very demanding under Pep.
That's what i hear, and i think Bernie fancies himself as a bit of a flair player, maybe a no 10 in a slower paced league. Having to graft in such a structured way, i think he just finds it a bit too much which is fair enough
