Couple things -
1. Youve entirely ignored where I said "exceptions like Anderson"
2. I said we shouldn't be exclusively pulling from this pool of player not, not at all.
3. The 3 players you listed whilst very good players, never held down a starting spot at our club, Stones due to injury for the most part but still.
Our best players from the last 10-15years were all signed from champions league teams competing in the top leagues.
Haaland, Aguero, both Silvas, Rodri, De Bruyne ect.
And since, Donnarumma and Gvardiol have been our first team signings from that caliber of league/team combo(we need more of this ready made, established level) Kovacic was surplus at Chelsea but him too.
But if we're to compete on multiple fronts moving forward we can't just be signing players like Ndiaye who is 26 and has 2 ok seasons in the premier league to his name. Savinho out Ndiaye in for same money is pointless... from those teams you go their best player(Anderson, Mahrez, Guehi, Semenyo) or you go potential world class talent - (Cherki, Khusanov, Doku..... Kroupi?)
All our duds in recent years are 25year old plusers from midtable and lower teams as theres the gamble on whether they can make the step up having never played at high levels before (Grealish, Phillips, Midfield Nunes, Reijnders, Marmoush) that's over 300mil there... that could've been like 2 of the worlds best in their position players signed instead.
