No,he was shocking for a long while,stealing a living.

The criticism was deserved, just as the praise is now.

Nope, he's never been stealing a living and criticism was OTT and misguided.

He is in great form as he was at the end of our last title winning season but he has often been much better than people would admit; Pep knew though.

Trapped it dead and was on the dribble in the same split second.

Shot was away just as quickly. It was like an air-to-air missile spinning out of control, curving, flashing into the side netting. Something awesome about getting that angle from the centre of the D.

New shape and Diaz have sorted us out. But it's Ilkay who now looks god-like.

He was poor only when he played in a double pivot without having the licence to bomb forward like it was the case for most of last season, he's always been excellent as a single pivot (like when he replaced Fern in our 14 match winning streak to clinch the league), and as a box to box CM like he's playing now and played there before, for example look at his performance against Barca in his first season just before he got injured when he scored twice in a 3-1 win.

He might've had poor performances before but I would never say he was stealing a living.

David Silva leaving, and Rodri Fernandino back to fitness and form, has allowed him to focus more on that position further up. Whatever the case, this guy was MoM today and for past few matches.

Correct not sure Pep allows players to steal a living. If you don’t do what he wants you are out.

His best season for us.

Silva leaving has allowed him to play in his best position; defends when he has to but ultimately linking the play and drifting into dangerous goalscoring positions.

The way he's been drifting into goalscoring positions reminds me of a prime Frank Lampard.

Our POTS so far. Exceptional in all aspects. The advanced role is suiting him so well. Having Cancelo and Zinchenko often occupying midfield positions means that Rodri doesn’t get exposed on his own and Gundogan has that freedom to do what he does. What a perfect set up we have right now.
