Think today showed it’s not down to him at all. It’s a collective problem and one that Pep needs to work out and solve
Good post.

When he doesn’t play, the same lack of pace deficiencies in midfield against better sides are still there.

It's always been the case. Very rarely when the team underperforms to some extent can you single out an individual.
You're taking the piss, this is bluemoon blame every one for defeats as long as its not David, Kun, KDB, Eddie and Sterling. ;-)

Gundogan is class - best as part of a dual holding-mid, worst as the single holding-mid against a pacy side (against sides that pose little threat at all he's great as a sole holding mid and can run the game there).

Anyhow, Gundogan has loads of talent - play him in situations that suits him and he'll excel.

A much needed experienced head against Zagreb tonight , the usual suspects will no doubt give him shit , but he held the middle of the park together alongside Rodri and allowed Foden to weave his magic.

I must have watched a different game because he was dogshit. Gave the ball away numerous times and once again slow and ponderous on the ball leading to Zagreb getting back into shape.

Far from dogshit in fact i wouldnt use that terminoligy for any of our players , just plain disrespectful
