its funny how good he is against lesser opponents but as soon as we play the very best he goes missing. its small margins on this level but he seems to be missing one tiny step to the true elite. very gifted and i do not agree that he seems "full", on the contrary, he seems hungry to me and more settled/mature than before.
This is such a weird take.... he plays well in big games when Pep uses him correctly. He was instrumental in both of our derby wins last season. He's even got goals vs Spurs, Chelsea, United, and Liverpool.

Saw him yesterday in town, leaning against a black amg merc. Taller than he looks on the pitch.
Anyway I think he is very underrated and if he continues to get games and stay fit will be a positive for us

This is one of those famous, Bluemoon, urban myths that become the law; he has been one of our best players now for months, regardless of opposition. Fortunately, Pep recognises this.

Maybe with the exception of crossing, who both rarely do, Dinho has him covered comfortably. For some reason or another, it seems to REALLY hurt you knowing the Brazilian dude is the far superior player.

Go and have a lie down, we've seen this script before of you doubling down on your blind love for Gundogan many a time.
I don't particularly like Gundogan that much. I just dislike the opinions that malign him based on figments of few poster's imagination.

My favorite player is Kevin, then Ederson, then Sterling then Bernado. I Almost never discuss them. Partly because they are also generally loved by the majority and rightly so.

The players I comment the most on, Zinchencko, Otamendi and Gundogan I often do as as a pushback to irrational comments based in fantasy.

Your comments on this thread are an example of those fantasy driven drivel. The kind that forces a reaction from me.

Like I said, your original comment was wrong. PERIOD. No attempts at trying to hide that in a Sea of ad hominem attacks will change that.

Again, it is FALSE that Dihno is better "at every aspect of playing the 6 position."

Anyone who thinks the above is demonstrably wrong

I seem to remember him being one of the standout performers in various games against Barcelona, Liverpool, Spurs and United. Personally, I don't feel like it's a question of the opponent's ability but more to do with the fact that he's been asked numerous times to play a role which doesn't suit him.

A few poster's imagination? Ha! Good one. Have a read through the thread if you will.

Also, stop playing the strawman. I will man up and retract the statement about being better at every single facet of the game - it was an exaggeration.

Bottom line and fundamental point is Fernandinho is a better deep or defensive midfielder than Gundogan. Gundogan has had a lot of poor performances in his time here, contrary to Dinho - this is something you and a very small minority are completely incapable of acknowledging.

Dinho completely lost confidence after the 2014 World Cup. And a lot of posters on here gave him plenty of gyp for it. Short memories.
