Immigrants threaten UK fish stocks.

I've never really bothered much about this before - seen it as right wing scaremongering more than anything. Had a phone call today from a mate telling me 'our carp had gone'. Went up to have a look myself and sure enough the three really big carp in one of our club waters, that in this weather you'd be more or less sure to see in one area of the lake, have gone.

We have had problems with Eastern European poachers on and off for a few months now and I reckon they've had them.

These were big carp, the biggest nearly 30lb, that any angler will know are worth hundreds if not thousands of pounds. They were old fish too, perhaps as old as 50 years. It seriously pisses me off to think that some bastards have killed them for their Christmas dinner or whatever. I mean if they are that desperate, you can buy carp at the Arndale fishshop! WTF do they have to kill our fish for? And with no fucking clue about their true value either. Bastards.

I thought this was going to be a piss take at first.

And now it is, anyway fish poachers are scum. Should always be panfried.
