Just about to hit the sack and flicked over to bbc news, by chance in time for a world sport update. Thought I may as well watch for a bit, even though it was a friendly, Beckham played so we're bound to get a mention.

Former rag Forlan, Lewis Hamilton, and 3rd story was 'Manchester City hit the headlines again for all the wrong reasons as Mario Balotelli... ' you know the rest.

No mention of England's no 1 winning the match, Beckham did nothing so not surprised he wasn't brought up, but no mention of even the result of the game! Just the pictures of Balo. Next story. Don't know what that was, I switched off.

What. The. Fuck.

'Night.

Are you unhappy that our story is deemed smaller than an Englishman winning a Grand Prix watched by millions and the South American equivalent of the Euro Finals - no doubt watched by even more.

Or do you honestly expect Balotelli (possibly) doing something very stupid and then Mancini removing any ambiguitiy of guilt by dragging him off to draw less attention than a goalkeeper scoring the winner in a meaningless shootout!? Do you think everyone on this forum/the media talking about Nasri's absence from the first 11 and not the tactics or the result in the recent friendly was also bang out of order?

Ffs, paranoia is not the word for some people.

Let alone the "missile" that is Mark Cavendish winning the green jersey in Paris. If anyone didn't see this today you missed a brilliant sporting spectacle.

Er, none of the above? Just pointing out they didn't even tell the score! Imho Joe Hart's goal celebration was more newsworthy than Balo chucking a water bottle! That is all!
