In Private Browsing

if it's internet explorer, yes.

start > run > gpedit.msc
Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Internet Explorer /
find 'InPrivate'
double-click Turn off InPrivate Browsing and choose Enabled.

if it's someone remotely savvy, you need to set them up with their own 'user-grade' account. otherwise they can simply undo the change, or, even simpler, install firefox (you can't turn off firefox's private mode)

Start>Control Panel>Users>Manage Another Account>Create An Account

and make sure it's a 'user' account. now they will need your password to install software.

but! if they are tricky, they will run a 'portable' browser from a USB.

you can stop this too; but it will stop ALL USB usage

Start>Run>gpedit.msc
Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Removable Storage Access
find 'deny read access', double click, set to 'enable'

that's pretty savage however.

the other, smarter way to do it, is to restrict their account to running certain programs on the computer;

start>control panel>users
manage another account>set up parental controls>
click on the relevant user account
allow or block specific programs
select "XXX can only use the programs I allow"
and check the boxes of the programs you want to allow

phew.

hope it's worth it!
