Reality sucks but at least it's real, Ade is exactly what the gurners said we were getting and so is Toure, if they're any better than Jo and Dunne I've not seen much evidence. New manager gives us an excuse to get rid and start again.

dunnie and toure suffer from the same problem two fullbacks who cant defend.

ade is i think quality, but not done well since coming back from his ban, but there again who is playing to their abilities. the job of a manager to creat a team that is better than its individual parts

The original post is a sensible 1 but as were not far from the january transfer window i dont think the feb deadline is realistic, the owners have a big decision to make and january must be part of there thinking, do they continue to back hughes hole hartedly and splash the cash on who he wants, or do they tell hughes he must improve results and show progress before any more funds are available, or they get rid of him before january getting another manager in so the new guy can get his own players in. I can see hughes out by this time next week if were out of the cup and have suffered a loss at chelsea, which could sound harsh being dumped after losing to two good sides but thats his fault for our poor form before hand. Also i my be wrong as i haven't seen it anywhere but in the past whenever hughes has seemed nearing the exit door our owners have come out fairly promptly backing him, but i haven't seen anything of the kind this time.

I doubt they'll be anymore splashing of the cash for MH.He's already spunked over £200mil,and to ask for more money would be like saying to the owners that what he's bought isn't good enough.The situation with the manager will allways be discussed,like it or not.I see it this way......If i see a small red spot appear on my face,do I,A...give it time,it might turn into a Cindy Crawford beauty spot or B..know that deep down,its going to be a fucking big boil that will have to be lanced.

In the interests of Detente can a deal be brokered, even at this late stage in animosity between the inners and outers?
How about we agree on a deadline for improvement and expectations and then judge ?
I move that we allow the Manager until the end of February to show improved performances and results. By that time we need to be comfortably in the top 6 and within sight of the top 4 or better. If we are then we should give him until the end of the season and re-assess then.
I propose this in the hope of relaxing the tension and acrimony on this site and at matches, and to stop break away factions of wankers running off to facebook.

I became an outer after the hull game (i was on the fence before that ) i argree with you that we should give him untill february to see if there is any improvement,i posted yesterday that the saddest thing for me in all this inner/outer business is city fans tearing each other apart on this board with uncalled for bile and hate,i have been city since 1967-68 and i cannot recall anything like this hate before between city fans,it really pains me.So yes i for one am all for some form of detente.ps but civilised debate should not be ignored.

fear not, it will all be over one way or another soon enough.

reading between the lines, the owners have let it be known that december is make or break time. if it hasn't happened by the new year, he'll get the rest of the year to carry on the good run (that will have kept him in his job).

this is likely to be a very awkward and stressful festive period for a lot of us. fights, arguments and insults are to be expected, as people have strong feelings. we all know how much the club means to us as individuals, just try and remember, the next guy feels just the same.
