Been to both. Had the same dish. Akbars won by a mile.

any recommendations for places on the curry mile??

Yeah - Arson.

Its a rip off mate and has now priced itself out of the market.

I used to be a regular but its so below par now.

I suppose if you have to go curry mile then Spicy Hut.

But Akbars is 100% better and Eastzeast is v Good

Haven't been to the curry mile in years, and doubt I'll go again. It used to be a load of decent restaurants that served good food and had a nice atmosphere about it. Now it's just a load of competing restaurants they every week seem to be in the papers for the wrong reasons.
Parking's a nightmare, and the place has an unpleasant atmosphere to it.

For a curry we stick local, Heatons Tandoori in Heaton Moor's a belting place.

i know it mite not be in manchester but the nawaab on the a6 stockport road in levenshulme is nice been there a few times and never had a bad thing to say about it

also cannot rave too much about the Crowne Plaza ..

oh and the result wasnt bad too

Spicy Hut on the Curry Mile gets my vote, been going there for years, its one of the first ones you come to if you are coming out of town, on the left, bugger to park but amazing food!
