I don't know anything official and I hadn't heard that rumour until now, but I can guarantee you it's bullshit. Multi-billion-pound organizations don't worry about cancelling ONE hotel room out of about 50 because one of their employees may or may not be travelling on a trip, and particularly not when those employees are earning upwards of 100K a week.

Of all the rumours I've heard so far this window, that's one of the silliest.

Point 3) JT's actions on Thursday could be telling obviously if he fails to board the flight then it will be clear that he is serious about joining City; if this is with permission then it would be still possible that he may stay at Chelsea. If on the other hand he forces the issue then it would be closer to him joining us. The other possibility is, he joins the flight either with a statement that he is staying with Chelsea, or continues his silence meaning the saga goes on
So Thursday may not be the defining day that some think it will be

You make a good point there kramer.
We must be a real thorn in the side for Chelsea at the mo and I kinda think they will stall this for as long as possible, especially while JT remains silent. It won't be the end until HE or Chelsea make the crucial statement, could be Thursday but could also drag on during their tour. The window is open for another 6 weeks yet.
