Winning 2 games against this opposition is the bigger honour?

The next time this competition is run the prize money is £2.5 billion and there will be 32 teams. But the record books will still show this year’s winner in the same list.

Its the final chance to win it with “easier” teams.

The League Cup is on its last legs.

it’s an international club trophy and only the champions even get the chance to try to win it. the aim of the game is to end up with shiny metal things in your hands. thankfully, pep loves those :D

Only Champions get the chance to win the community shield and super cup but I don't care about those either.

I did not know this.
Separately, how will this fit into a clubs fixture list?

So City play Red Star Tuesday, Forest on the Sat and Newcastle on the Weds. Unless you’re a pedant, that’s broadly 3 games in a week
So by your logic City play a match on a Saturday and one the following Sunday that's broadly 2 games in a week?

If you think football injuries are the worst thing ever you are either a) a spoilt seven year old or b) have a mountain of pain still to experience in your life - good luck with that or c) a not very good wum.
You didn't mention paper cuts - they fucking hurt they do!

Totally meaningless trinkets at stake, and games which only take place to fill the coffers of the greedy football associations.

Unless the proceeds genuinely go to charities the
" competitions / games " have no worth - unless you are a dipper/ rag/ gooner fan, when they obviously are world class prizes.

Next season it will become one of the major tournaments to win. All the best teams will be in it and it could one day rival the CL. It will have huge revenues and a huge audience, especially as this first one is in the USA. Back to back World Champions would be impressive.

Sorry but you two are talking nonsense
