Injuries 2024/25 | Kovacic ruled out for a month

I said it at the time so I'll say it again, we had a poor transfer window in the summer imo. It was madness to let Alverez go for £82m and not sign a replacement.

Now we will try to sign someone in January, whether we suceed or not is a different kettle of fish. But we will be buying from a position of weakness as everyone knows Rodris out and the other long term injuries that we have.:-(
Our transfer window was baffling and did nothing to address the chronic needs of the squad - Hold midfield, central midfield, striker

Selling Alvarez for £80m was good business; selling Delap for £15m possibly rising to £20m was also good business. Not buying a striker to spell Haaland and utilise wherever needed was absolutely bonkers.

Cut to today and Rodri has eventually broken down - we have no deputy at all. Last night we couldnt bring on a striker as the only 1 we have in the entire club is knackered because he has to play pretty much every minute of every league/CL game.

Granted you cant legislate for such a rash of injuries, but we have also needlessly dropped ourselves into a situation where there was no cover at all at some key positions.

We just have to deal with it really

Get to the international break and we should get most out players back barring no injuries during those games

That wasn't true against Spurs last night who are just below Brighton and just above Bournmouth?
It was true though, for most of the game I watched, we were much the better team, and those youngsters some of the better players. The reason we lost last night was our poor finishing (not for the first time recently, though luckily we've been doing just enough to win).

If you have a worry about not currently being good enough, perhaps have a look at Gundogan, and Foden (Bernardo when he came on wasn't great either).
