Exactly. He's employed by Manchester City, The club pay his wages so MCFC should have a say if he played in that final. Now he's basically out for 2 months. Spain also played Laporte whilst injured, Came back and just made Leicester with a hip problem and then missed the Southampton.

I do understand the annoyance on the last few pages. I don't particularly enjoy the international matches either. But for the players it is extremely important and I think that should be respected, seeing as they are the ones who actually provide the entertainment and trophies.

Absolutely spot on. Kevin playing for Belgium or Gerry Crainey being fit at home. Tough choice eh?

really bad luck as this was the moment when he couldve gotten some playing time considering he wasnt used against chelsea, psg and liverpool. really unfortunate
