Watch the extended highlights where there is a jarring collision with Zaba going for the ball near the Arsenal penalty area.
Jarred the knee and while its only preliminary media reporting its looking like he will miss Hull and be available for Liverpool.

There was a failed lunge/over reaching effort he made in a bid to stop a counter attack, when he was just outside their box in the latter part of the half, that's a possible.Can anyone point to the incident that may have caused the injury?

It's a bit much, done for the cameras. I'm sure he's friends with a lot of our team mates who will wish him well and he knows that. Plenty of players get injured, but I don't remember other clubs doing that.
Liverpool prefer to save that kind of gesture for players facing sanctions for racially abusing their opponents.
