Maybe it is an age thing but near me at Wembley large groups of people were singing songs about - Jihadi John and Bacary Sagna and then singing we won the league with a Peado on the wing?

It was that painful and embarrassing to listen to I had to put my fingers in my ears at one stage and turned round and had to tell one dickhead to shut up.

Is it just me or is singing about having had this lowlife having once played for us not something to celebrate and is an utterly ridiculous chant?

Hope to god these both die a death very quickly.

Must be an age thing - 13 year olds----30 year olds. Keyboard warriors----a new phenomenon.................pathetic.

Saw a video on social media of the Adam Johnson chant, really sad stuff, worse that these pissed up blokes think they're hilarious

Saw a lad at Anfield, must have only been about 9 or 10 years old singing the paedo on the wing song. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Queuing at Wembley Park after the game the Johnson song was being belted out and my 9 year old asked me what's a peado!! Had to change the subject very quickly

The Jihadi John song has been discussed at length on here - my own opinion is that it's tasteless but I've heard much worse and it's a dig at Jihadi John, albeit a misguided one, rather than at Sagna or the victims of the Paris attacks.

I'm astonished that any of our fans would sing the other song though - as far as I was aware, United fans were singing that at Sunderland the other week and it's a rival fans dig at our club. How any City fan could sing it is utterly beyond me. It's the equivalent of United fans singing "Giggs, tearing families apart again". In fact, it's worse because it appears to celebrate the actions of a nonce.

Indeed.

Not a chant as such but the continual hissing when we use to play Spurs was sad.

The most inappropriate one at the moment is "City, City the best team in the land and all the world..."

Sign of the times
Not sure about that there have been some horrible songs and chants ever since I started going in the 70s, if anything there are more people now prepared to say if something is unacceptable. But there will always be ignorant twats.

people say sign of the times are completely wrong, its been going on for 30/40 years

one that springs to mind is in 81 "spurs are on their way to belson" in response to ozzies dream fa cup song by spurs
