I can't believe what i read sometimes, some people on here are saying United deserve the title. These knobs DO NOT DESERVE this title. They have played shit in all of their games and the games they should of lost like Chelsea away they were given 2 penalties. It is pure luck. They have played their only rival this year ONCE and got HAMMERED at their own ground. They would not be where they are had other teams of not given them such an easy ride. Not to mention we have been crippled by a handful of disgraceful refereeing decisions.

We have dominated this league upto a few weeks ago, no-one deserves the title more but unfortunately it will go down to points not merit. There are STILL points to play for, unfortunately a lot of people on here talk about the rags having this mentality and we do not have it. Well you lot have already proved it, you have thrown in the towel when it is still winnable!!! Grow some balls and man up to the fact that if we win every game, there is still every chance they could fuck up and if we still lose it then fine we can go into next season with positives. I've seen some people want to change the manager and a handful of players who have made a massive difference this year. Absolute madness.

This isn't about them, it's about us and the players will need us behind them not having a go, i've read some insane stuff this week, totally ridiculous things posted like we should have wingers etc. Go fucking support United if you like the way they play, we play winning football, we have been top of this league 80% of the time and we still have the superior goal difference and the best home record ever seen. United got annihilated by us and by other teams like Bilbao, Basle who saw them for their real selves and actually had a go at them and played their best football. So how the hell can you say United play far better football than us, absolutely ridiculous.

They play an old, aging English style play which is far too predictable, the only reason they won last night was because of woeful defending as per by the opposition. If you want to see them playing their absolute best at the highest level, watch last years Champions League final where a Barcelona team that won't even win the league this year absolutely destroyed them. They do not deserve respect and they do not deserve to be given an easy ride.

I despair at this forum sometimes, when reality is shining right in front of you, it is ignored. United are a spent, aging force and next year we do not need a change of manager we need to strike while the iron is hot. Your talking here of a manager who delivered our first trophy in 35 years and our best finish in our most recent history and our first ever Champions League qualification. Show a bit of respect ffs.

It might not happen this year but you can bet your bollocks next year Mancini will root out the deadwood and get in the best possible squad we can assemble. Changing the manager will disrupt the entire rhythm of the club, everything that has been built up over the past 3 years will be wiped away. Did we not learn throughout the 90's and 00's period that changing the manager DOES NOT WORK??

I despair at this forum sometimes, some people need to wake up and realise that we are JUST 5 points behind United, we beat them at home and suddenly that is 2 points. If they drop 2 points they have LOST this league. It is our job now to ensure we get as close as possible and get that never say die attitude that they apparently have into this club. Throw in the towel now and shall we just assume every single challenge we face (future finals etc) that we haven't a cat in hells chance?

Show some respect to this squad and the manager and get behind them no matter what, they will thank you for it. We as fans have a duty to get behind the team. We used to be shite and we still cheered them no matter what.

Sorry bud but you can't claim it's just luck them winning all the time.

I admit it's a pisser and hard to pinpoint i would say it is a mix of belief, other teams having a deep almost pathalogical fear of united in the last 20mins of a match and baconmush's touch.

If they win it they deserve it end of story, anything else sounds bitter.

Whoever wins the title deserves it. That is a fact.

If we win it, then we deserve it. If we don't, then we don't.

Whilst i can see your point they have now edged in front at a vital time , due to having won more games than ourselves , and losing less .... whilst we are doing our level best to self destruct.

That's the bottom line , isn't it?

And , as things stand , their supporters are gonna be much happier than ours by the seasons end ...... because they're lookin' likely to win the only 'pot' available to either of us!

Of course we should continue to support the players, but we shouldn't forget it's them who have landed us in this mess ...... their individual displays against Sunderland were absolutely pathetic for a side chasing the title , and there have been other poor efforts in recent weeks too.

Maybe we aren't good enough then, it's no reason to launch into some of the ridiculous attacks i've seen on here. The squad we played against Sunderland was worst than some of the starting 11's we had last season.

At the end of the day, the Title "Champions" goes to the team finishing on top!

It would just be very nice if that Title could be ours, after 43+ barren years!

The scum will not give a flying fig whether they "derserve" to win it or not, if they do, and equally neither will I if we do it!

Inbetween is right, changing managers is suicide. If we stick with Roberto, as we should, we can only get better as the players gel more together in their play. Imagine if we had got the correct decisions in some of our games, e.g. Everton, Fulham, Chelsea & Sunderland, plus quite a few more we would be home & dry by now. It will come eventually

but they have more points than us...and in a league, the person who has the most points surely is the rightful winner?

Here here! We should have never of got rid off mel machin imo. Stabilizers is the key. Just look at the Milans, The Reals, the bayerns, they keep managers year after year. More time under Mel and we'd of been gelatinous, know doubts about that. Same here. Needs more time and more money not to blow leads over the rags, get dumped out of cups, and win away.

What? Milan sacked Leonardo after one season for Allegri and won the title in his first season. Bayern have dumped Van Gaal for Heynckes, and are much closer to Dortmund for the title than the previous season. Real?! Since they sacked Del Bosque in 2003, they've had 10 managers! Its only really in England where there is this obsession with stability, and United and Ferguson are the archetype of what a successful club should do. If you have the right guy, then of course you stick with him, but if he isn't and you know you can do better, then making a change is the sensible thing. This whole "stability is key" has become a tired cliche.

Genius post !

The gloating twats should heed their own history. We recovered from a worse position than the present day one when we last won the title in '68. There was a very, very late swing back in our favour after people thought our chance had gone. It's a straw clutch I know but it could still happen again. I am giving up on Sunday, though, if we fall another three points behind.

Of course they deserve the title. They have the grit and determination to see the job through whereas we've crumbled under the pressure. And it case you forgotten this so called mediocre rag side hammered arsenal 8-2 beaten spurs twice and came back from 3-0 v Chelsea. They even found a way to beat the welsh barca on their turf. it hurts like hell but we have to face it although we've done really well it hasn't been good enough in the end.

GUYS GUYS GUYS!!! Why are we conceding this? if Mancini can get them fired up for these last 7 games then with 6 wins and a draw I believe WE not the RED Bastards will win the league, they have to go to a newly in-form Wigan, play Everton and then Sunderland on the last day. I do not believe they will win these I think it will be 2 defeats and a draw. If not then they will definitely deserve the title but IF we get 90 points and lose there will be absolutely no shame in coming 2nd!!!
Either way the title is not lost or won yet by a long chalk.

Those who still believe and are into twitter, let's flood @MCFC & other City players' twitter accounts with our messages of support. Let the boys know we are still behind them! We may or may not win it this year but let's not go out without a fight!

Talking about Mancini getting them fired up. When are they due back in training? A week on Thursday?
