A friend's uncle has a scar across his face.

Story was he got his girlfriend pregnant in the 70s and asked her to marry him, his girlfriend told her family that she was pregnant and before she could tell of their plans her brother picked up a knife ran up to the boyfriend's house and slit his face. A few months later he was the best man at the wedding and they were best friends ever since.

Instant justice by the brother and alls well that ends well I suppose. :-)
