Just checked with my wife who teaches English language for a living says there is nothing wrong with starting a sentence with a preposition.It’s bad grammatical form to start a sentence with a preposition.

It can be. It can be an adverb, adjective and pronoun as well. Possibly others too but I can't think of any way that it could be used as a preposition.Conjunction!
