My friend's pooch is getting cherry eye. Costs a fuckin bomb to treat. They phoned to get insurance and mentioned she had conjunctivitus 8 weeks ago, so they want to put a 12 month block on any payouts for eye illnesses (Which is no good if she gets cherry eye)

So if they phone another insurance company, forget to mention her conjunctivits, and get insured will this scenario be ok??

They're registered with a vet at the minute. They're gonna register with another one.

She has been treated at the first vet, so she gets cherry eye, they make a claim, they phone their 2nd vet who they have given them the number for. They have no record of her being treated before, and no mention on conjunctivitus. They pay out.

WIll it work, or will they get sussed??

=)

Probably get sussed. Insurance companies now tend to go out of their way to stop paying out. There is a series on ITV that shows how they do it.

I suppose they could try and see if it works though

it works the same as private health insurance, they will ask for a writtern report from the vet explaing previous conditions, which will have the current condition on it.
they will the underwrite the dog for this condition so they wont pay out.
Used to work for Bupa, they try to get out of everything they can, im sure even animal insurance is the same.
