Interest in Grealish ahead of Jan

Personally I wouldn’t be sad if he moved on, not sure what it is with him this season (and last if I’m honest) but his body language on the pitch just doesn’t seem right :(

Maybe it’s because of a lack of confidence and playing time, or something in his personal life making him unhappy, but something seems off.

Even when he is on the bench and we are playing shit and losing, I’m still not screaming to get him on, even yesterday when we were like 6 nil up, he looked frustrated and trying to drew a foul and have a punch up.

It’s ashamed because I really do like the lad, and I think he got a lot put on his shoulders because of the price tag, not just from us, but the English media and the England fans, and I think there was a hope he would fail because he joined City

No time for sentiment in elite sport. The end of this season is the right tme for Jack to move on. He has done his bit for City. We need younger and hungrier players moving forward..and more pace.

I really like Grealish and wanted it to work for him at City, and it did during the treble winning season. But, you can't talk about him without acknowledging the price tag and the expectation that comes with. Quite simply to go a calendar year without a goal in this City team, as a forward player is unacceptable. Now, he has had injuries and significant personal issues or circumstances. But there's only so far those considerations extend.

My biggest observation with Grealish is I question his mentality. For all he does give very good interviews, he always talks about wanting to take more responsibility and influencing games, but then doesn't do it often enough.

With the rebuild in progress, competition for places will be stronger than ever. Now Savinho is showing form, we will most likely see Bernardo back in the centre (I much prefer him there), so it's no given that Grealish will get game time in the centre, especially as he hadn't played there since the Forest game (shame as he played very well).

Sadly, I think this summer may be the end of his time at City, unless KDB does leave and he is given another season to prove himself. I would be surprised if he left in January, though.

I think we have tried to change his natural game to much play him more central let him do what he dose best instead of being drilled to pass back rather than lose the ball.
We have draind him of his natural game
Who is "we"

I presume you mean Pep Guardiola?

And if that's true your talking out of your backside.

Sane, Sterling, Doku, Mahrez and now Silvinho don't seem to have been told to restrict their games, so why has Grealish?

I agree with this. He was mint at Villa. I think he was a big fish in a shallow pond at Villa and for the most has been completely overawed here - Pep type play etc, he's a lovely lad bit not the sharpest IQ and I think struggled with adapting to Pep ball. Got better when Erl joined in the Treble season.

Be sorry to see him go as he is a good club ambassador, very popular with younger ( and lots of females!), but we need attack and commitment on the pitch and not sure he has that mentality currently.
