International Matches | 6th - 15th October 2021 | South American qualifiers early hours of Friday (BST)

How's it any different from a keeper parrying the ball to another opposition player in an offsite position, who then puts it in the net? Always called offside for that.
It just is, if the ball touches Garcia but he was not attempting to get the ball that is offside, the crux here is he went for the ball AND touched it, not my rule pal, it’s part of the offside law. Btw, I think it’s ridiculous.

Lots on Twitter saying Garcia got a touch so not offside.

Has the rule changed? I thought it was when the pass was made.
Surely Garcia never had it under control?
I’m genuinely perplexed; I thought I was pretty up to date with the rules. Hopefully it will be explained in the after match review.

again, completely nonsensical. a keeper is "trying" to save the ball and it's still offside! stop making stuff up.

Doesn't matter if it's come off of Garcia's foot in this scenario, Mbappe's still offside from the pass.

The officials have fucked it big time, no surprise they're Premier League officials.
