Fair enough but I’ve never really been interested in International football, probably due to watching the England team full of Rags and Dippers over the years. I don’t know how old you are but International games used to be just a midweek with no cancellations of weekend football, now it’s just tedious, kick off the season and we have three breaks of two weeks that absolutely disrupt the flow of the Premier League. You probably enjoy it but tbh, the Croatian League is nowhere near the quality of our Premier League.i often read comments like this from english football fans, along with disliking international games because of possible injuries. is this line of thinking prevalent in england?
in croatia even people who usually don’t watch football watch national team games. players consider a call up a privilege and honor. luka modrić will be 38 tomorrow and he will step on that pitch tonight and do his best for his country, that jersey is sacred to him as he once said.
I’m not being disrespectful as I know it’s still important to the fans whichever team they follow but International football has become a second rate product, the Argentina team that won the last World Cup would not beat City’s treble winning team.
