Northern Ireland seem to have regressed to where they were a decade ago. They had a good 3 or 4 years, which culminated in them qualifying for the Euros in 2016, their first major finals since the World Cup in 1986. Losing 1-0 in Kazakhstan at the moment.

They do pretty well for a country with a population of 2m.

To only be 1 down when playing Johnny F Evans and Paddy McNair as two of their back 3 is testament to how hard the rest of the team must be playing.

Theyre playing on that shite green carpet stuff too.

Japan and South Korea have made massive progress in recent years. Football is becoming increasingly popular there, and with their impeccable work ethic, organization, etc., they will both be very big teams in the future. Exciting progress and great news for football in general.

Hungary beat England 0:4 at Wembley in the last year or so. Japan would have a decent chance against England. Obviously, 0:4 or 1:4 is a bit of a freak result, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Hungary did it to England, and Japan did it to Germany. It could happen. Neither were favourites. Speaking of which, Hungary is another significantly improved team, especially in the last few years. Wins away against Germany, England, and Serbia, draw against France, and more.

Klippety off to Germany and Salad signs a pre-contract for a Saudi club in January and the Dippers will be in meltdown , if there is a football god then this has to happen , and they would be back on track for their next league title in 2050 :)
