For some reason IE has began to freeze intermittently
I have disabled all add ons and reset IE in options, done a virus scan all to no avail
Would it be easier to do a recovery(back to factory settings) rather than trying to determine
what's causing the problem
PS I use firefox, but kids use IE.They dont like FF for some strange reason

Perhaps try a different browser? I swear by this one.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.apple.com/safari/download/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.apple.com/safari/download/</a>

Even when I had a PC I used Safari... It's fast, simple and reliable.

If thats not your thing, Opera is a pretty good browser too.

System restore. Start > Accessories > System tools (well it's this on Vista, dunno about XP) > System restore, to a point when it was working.

Yep That's what I did. Everything peachy now. Thanks for the suggestions folks

Whilst system restore can be a convenient and effective answer to some computer problems , be aware that certain types of viruses can shut it down an' prevent it from helpin' you out in times of difficulty ........ believe me , cos it's happened to me in the past!

The only thing that got me out of the mess that i was in was to restore a 'ghost image' that i'd made in previous times back onto my computer ....... that promptly flattened the virus , an' all was well again ....... includin' system restore!

Try mozilla firefoxlatest version...I swear it will give you more.

Firefox 3.0 has some querky bugs in at the moment, unable to clear recent sites etc.

However, Google chrome is the fastest out the, firefox is decent, IE7 is the most supported. Go figure :/
