Iranian General killed by US Drone.

The F4 Phantom was introduced into service in 1960. I know because I got an Airfix model Phantom from Father Christmas in 1966.
The F4 was probably my favourite plane, One of my Dad's Air bases had a squadron of them when I was a kid, got to see them upclose and personal at an early age

I loved Airfix models do they still sell them? Might get my grandkid into them.
I think my younger brother got a WW2 era Vought F4U Corsair as used by the US Navy off the same Father Christmas.
The following year I got an English Electric Lightning Interceptor which I was dead chuffed with.
Unfortunately my brother got a Mitsubishi Zero from Father Christmas which didn't go down too well with him.(Although in real life they did dive better than Ashley Young).

I worked on them for a while whilst serving on 56(F) Sqn. Even had a back seater in one when on APC in Cyprus. Great aircraft and a brilliant job.

Been inside the Avro Shackleton at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry was a big thrill for me as it is a development of the Lancaster bomber. I built several plastic model kits in my younger days and the Lancaster bomber was one of my favourites.

Nothing was working, all the equipment was crap, they were bricking it because of another war ages ago on their border, they were drugged, a goat got in and sat on the button, they were watching where eagles dare on tv and thought it was Fox News.

Would have been easier for him to just to say

I hate Trump so I blame him for everything, sniff

Bullshit.

Where Eagles Dare hasn’t been on for ages.

Ice Station Zebra, on the other hand, is on twice a week...

It definitely took off. I had the stained undies to prove it :-)
You are one lucky bastard, that is all I can say.
The ultimate thrill for me would be being launched by a steam catapult in a F18 Super Hornet from one of the Nimitz Class carriers.
Nearest I ever got was doing 110mph down the A30 in Devon in my brother-in-laws Ford Granada 2.8i Jam Butty police car about 30 years ago.
