Iranian General killed by US Drone.

The USA have never admitted liability for the deaths of over 300 Iranian's when they shot down an airliner in 1988
They certainly did admit liability (ie that they shot it down). Which is what we are talking about with Iran admitting they shit this one down.

You’re correct in saying they didn’t apologise or admit wrongdoing though.

the yanks kill a top top iranian general.
The iranians respond with an attack that kills no one
The iranians admit shoot an airliner down, say it was an accident
The west accept it was just an accident

Some major climb down deals from both sides. If someone had told me before this that Trump would be allowing the iranians to get away with shooting down a plane full of westerners I wouldnt have believed it.

Trump pretty much lost the moral high ground when he assassinated a serving Iranian military commander in a third party country without their knowledge for reasons they haven't been able to credibly justify further than 'he was a bad man'.

He’s probably my pleased they shot it down as it took the political heat of him and, as I’ve said before, made it less likely either side will escalate from here.

Oh, he’s since privately “justified” it — apparently it was to get a few senators onside for impeachment proceedings. And his mate Pompeo really wanted it for Christmas.

Perfectly legitimate, really.

I heard a theory on the radio from some expert that the Iranians might try to use this whole issue to influence the upcoming election in favour of the Dems by making trump look the bad guy, as they feel everyone would be able to come back to the table so to speak under the democrats. It was quite interesting

Something seriously shady going on at the highest levels of government. No wonder John Bolton quit like he did.
It’s been going on since well before he took the oath, to be fair. Like the Deutsche Bank story you have rightly highlighted, many other stories of blatant corruption have gotten buried.

Also related to DB: it is interesting to me that almost no one is aware, including many anti-Trumpers, that the original loans he took out with DB (for well over 2 billion dollars) were forgiven after Trump sued DB for millions of dollars to avoid paying the loans back (a suit Trump most assuredly would have lost if not for DB miraculously acquiescing), only for DB to then almost immediately loan him millions more, with the write-off of the original loans and underwriting of the new loans all concealed.

He is one of the only people in history to default on over 2 billion in loans and not only not have to pay them back, but have them completely written off so he could receive more loans from the same bank! Quite the business man.

Now, some of that is down to the “if you owe the bank 1,000 dollars, it’s your problem; if you owe the bank a million dollars, it’s the bank’s problem” scenario, but the subsequent hidden underwriting is incredibly suspect.

Most recent reporting of his business has Russia heavily involved in his affairs well before the 2016 campaign and still ardent Trump supporters see no potential for corruption or, at the very least, conflicts of interest.

Interesting theory, but I'm not sure Trump needs much help from the Iranian's to look bad at this point.

It would certainly benefit the Iranian's to be back at the table discussing the situation like adults instead of having Trump waving his dick in their faces.
