You are also wrong in asserting that EU sanctions can apply to non-EU states. The EU has no jurisdiction over Iran. I’d have thought that to be obvious. International law always takes precedence.

EU sanctions apply to EU member states and Gibraltar.

The EU has jurisdiction over the EU and anything that is in it, including Iranian-linked ships.

Well that’s a more reasonable post than your patronising and condescendingly dismissive post. The Middle East is certainly complex and I can’t begin to understand it but as this seems to be a strike made unilaterally by trump who is a simpleton and a bully I don’t think Karen was far off the mark and is perfectly entitled to post her point of view.

Maybe with your extensive knowledge you could add some context for us not as well up on things instead of being insulting
