Iranian General killed by US Drone.

I think you've been pretty polite about religion in this thread.

Personally, I'd like every single person who believes in any religion to be locked up as they're obviously mentally deranged.

Calling a religion false is prejudiced apparently.

Something I’ve learned tonight.

I think a lot of posters lack imagination and the ability to put the boot on the other foot.

Imagine the UK was the third biggest supplier of oil in the world and China was the big player not the US. They assassinate our PM. They also have their troops stationed in France and Holland as well as ships armed with nuclear weapons in the channel.
Now while it might be foolhardy to upset the Chinese surely we would be within our rights to do so.

What's oil got to do with this present incident (without going back 50 years)?

Frankly while I'm laughing at the whole reality TV show awfulness of the world we now live in, it is getting dangerous.

I think most people hate both.

Are you seriously going to defend Trump’s order of this assassination?

I’m glad the **** is dead but come on.
I do not know what all evidence was there and I am pretty sure you too don't unless you actually work for the secret service. However he is by constitution Commander in Chief and has the authority to take such actions. If you can provide solid evidence that there was no harm being planned against Americans and American interests not sure how you question the decision.

It is incredibly easy to laugh but then when you remember lives will be lost because of these arseholes on both sides, it suddenly becomes not funny in the slightest.

I haven’t seen any sympathy or justification for terrorists tbh. I think you’re conflating that with criticism of the strike and fear of the potential consequences.
Well I just saw a post linking the terrorist act in Kenya to Trump's action and somehow indicating that was the cause hence providing a justification for the terrorist act.

The argument isn’t that the dead General wasn’t a **** and one in which had been behind many atrocities and maybe had planned more.

But there’s such thing as a strategy and this is where the argument is. He’s escalated things, made a complete cock up in Iraq and has broken international law.

If step 1 is peace talks and step 10 is nuking Tehran, this action is about step 6/7, when Trump needed to be at 3/4.

Actually he’s broken US law and international law. Soleimani got what he deserved but the same can’t be said for those that reap the unintended and unplanned consequences.
