ireland stated that he was pissed off after the boro defeat and on the coach on the way home was sick of seeing city players laughing and joking. he trained hard before last season to prepare...but in fairness he only improved on the year before.
He's a young dedicated professional, mark my words he will come back bigger,better and stronger!

As far as I am concerned Ireland is the real deal, the only one to come through the ranks who will truly make it
ireland is proof of a young lad haveing talent nearly thowing it all away and then pulling his head from his arse and showing what all the fuss was about when he came up from youth level.
in my own mind ireland will be on par with the likes of gerrard and lampard in a couple of years.
