irreplaceable.

It seems most people agree on the core of irrreplaceables give or take... For me it has to be Hart, Komps, Yaya, Silva and Aguero.

Being blunt, everyone is replaceable as everyone will one day need to be replaced, however these are the guys that we couldn't replace with better right now and are the spine to our best ever team to date.

Barry and Micah?

No true blue would ever want Micah to leave! I'd shed a tear or two just like when SWP left if he did!

Agreed, no true blue would want to see micah leave, he's still very young and has been at the heart of the team for many a season since establishing himself as a 17 year old, he loves the club and attitude is very important, he understands what this club m,eans to the fans (this insight cannot be bought, he was there when we were mid-table mediocrity so understands the struggle, has seen the club evolve since then)
and our future success will be built on players like micah, joe and vinny who've been around a while now and were happy to ply their trade for the club before we undertook the task of becoming the behemoth that we're currently shaping up very nicely to become...

We saw for 6 months that Tevez is replacable, his name is Aguero and he's already a City legend.

Micah and GB are replacable.

Hart, VK, Yaya, Aguero this is the back bone of our team.
Add David Silva to the backbone, and I agree with you.

That said, I really don't want to lose Micah, Zabby, De Jong, Nasri, Milner, Clichy or Bary either.

im going to completely agree

I love Hart and would never want him to leave but for the money we could get for him we could possibly get Neuer who has better distribution than Hart and is pretty much equal to him keeping wise so while I would take Hart all day long he could be replaced.

We couldn't get Neuer. Why would he want to leave Germany? Why would Hart want to leave England?

I'm just saying Hart is replaceable. He is one of the best keepers in the world but IF he ever did leave he could be replaced with Neuer.

Well if you use that arguement, then all players are replaceable. That said, I believe lots of our players are key for the upcoming season.

Hart, Micah, Clichy, Kompany, Yaya, Silva, Aguero, Tevez, Nasri, Zabaletta, Lescott, Mario, Barry, Milner, Kolarov, Pantilimon:

That is my 16 must have. 2 or 2 more additions, and 2 or 3 more retentions from the existing group from last season should form our 23 man squad for next season. Who those 3 more coming in, and 3 more being retained are is anyones guess:

Personally my retentions will be Kolarov, Dzeko and AJ. My additions will be a CD and a CM

No because I think players like Kompany, Yaya, Silva and Aguero we couldn't replace with someone equal to or better than them.

i fuckin hated barry once upon a time but he has really grown on me, and quietly put in some tremendous performances last season, hes not irrerplacable but i'de love to keep him.

Some of your comments are really fucking pissing me off. "Micah, Hart replacable" FUCK OFF!!
It´s not only about the quality it´s about the persons as well. Micah & Hart has been around the longest and they understand the fans & care about the club. Will Neuer & Alves do that?

Barry is irreplacable for me as well, with his experience and the way he played this year. More than 10 years in the PL, not easy to find a player like Barry these days, also doesen´t have a ego like alot of players have these day. Zabba is irreplacable to me as well, you might find a better RB but not a player with a bigger heart than Zabba.

It´s not any players you talking about as well, you are talking about our spine here. Hart, Micah, Zabba, Barry are likable lads as well. As far as quality goes they are good enough for us that´s forsure, they never cause any problem as well. People like Micah, Hart, Zabba & Barry are priceless for different reasons.

Milner is another who´s priceless to me, where will you find someone as hardworking, industrious unselfish player like Milner. He´s not the best player but his attitude is FANTASTIC! Can play virtually anywhere and never complains great squad player, being English doesen´t hurt....

Offcourse we could.

Mata can replace Silva comfortably. So can Iniesta, Fabregas, Ozil and a few good others.

Yaya was replaced at Barca. So one can conclude he could be at City. But if you wanted names, Rossi, Witsel, Xavi, Schweingsteiger, and a few others could.

Aguero. Well, The Uruguayan at Athletico will beg to differ.

So No, all are players can be replaced by equals, and sometimes better players.

Finally! Thank You!
To stick with your argument but take an opposite approach EVERY player can be replaceable in a way, but then in the same token NONE are if that team has gelled so well and built a chemistry together. IF everyone wanted to stay thatd be perfect for me - no Hazard (thank you Chelski - glad hes still not at manu), and RVP is good but only if someone (likely itd be Tevez) WANTED out not just selling them to upgrade.

If there was to be an order it would be a tie atop between Kompany & Joe (Neuer is the only possibility, not guarantee, but possibility whos a little better at most) but why swap to make a couple bucks? How bout just dont buy anyone you know?

After VK & Hart Id say Kun because hes building a history here and there is one or two strikers only who are/will be better than him over the next decade. Then fourth I agree on Micah due to the reasons you mentioned.

If I had to say a fifth yes Yaya, but (admittingly so) Im not sure how much he does for the team off the pitch (dressing room, chemistry, etc.), so I cant judge him properly. But what he does as a box-to-box is rare and so essential. As far as what he does on the pitch, I wonder if Fellaini could do what he does?

Why would Diego Godin beg to differ? He's a centre half!!

Lol! My apologies, I meant Falcao. :)

whoever we sign, whoever comes in for whichever players, we now have quite a few irreplaceable players that we dare not sell.
joe
vinny
micah
david
yaya
gaz baz
kun
tevez

we must keep all the above for as long as possible.

Barry isn't good enough for Champs League.

Tevez is easily replaceable - there are half a dozen forwards out there that i'd rather have.
