Is 9 Trophies In 10 Years A Good Return Under Sheikh Mansour’s Ownership?

They all count Ric. Look at other clubs honours boards. Weighed down by Charity Shield wins. But I can see where you are coming from.

Think another FA Cup is due. The Wigan defeat last season was annoying. And I’d like City to finally win the CL.(to piss UEFA, Gill, etc off as well) Or at least get to the final.

Be nice for Guardiola to get an FA Cup, just to complete the clean sweep of domestic trophies.

The next target is to either retain the PL this season, win the CL, or do the PL and FA Cup double.

Not asking much. ;-)

it's the clubs opinion that counts if it's a hounour or not....

Might as well throw in the CL as well

He’ll have done the lot then. :-)

And he can then go home to Barcelona. :-(

He’s going nowhere until we’ve clinched the Checkatrade Trophy.

Separate discussion really, but as much as some scoff at Chelsea’s short term, seemingly haphazard, approach, it evidently works.

Community Sheild: 12/13, 18/19
League Cup: 13/14, 15/16, 17/18
FA Cup: 10/11
PL Title: 11/12, 13/14, 17/18.

PL Title.

Positive. 3 PL titles is a great return considering the competition. Especially winning the title with the last kick of the season in extra time. And winning the league by 19 points and breaking numerous records last season.
Negative. Allowing United to win the title in 12/13, after we didn’t push on, and United signed Van Persie.

FA Cup.

Positive. Our First trophy under Sheikh Mansour’s ownership. Beating Stoke City in the final.(After beating United in the semi-Final)
Negative. Losing to Wigan Athletic in the final. And the Mancini sacking mess the soured the whole day. All these years later I still can’t believe we lost that game and basically tosted the FA Cup away. Only winning it once.

League Cup.

Positive. Wininng it 3 times. We seem to have an affinity with the League Cup. Willy saving the penalties against the Scousers.
Negative. Nothing.

Charity Shield.
Positive. Beating Chelsea and Arsenal.
Negative. Could and should have won it more often. Losing to Arsenal with a weakened team.

Near enough a trophy a season is a very good return. PL Titles and League Cup wins stand out. The FA Cup return has been disappointing. So has the CL, where we’ve reached 1 semi-final, but went out with a whimper against Real Madrid.

Disclaimer: Hope my trophy figures are correct? :-)
Charity Shield? Do me a fucking favour. What next - we count winning the div 3 play offs? The charity shield counts for the square root of fuck all. Never has done, never will do. We've won it 5 times. The "English Professionals X1" have won it 4 times. The "English Amateur X1" have won it twice. And the "English FA Canadian Touring X1" were runners up once.

Our return isn't what I'd have hoped for after Mancini led us to the promised land in 2011 and 2012. He gave us gold. We gave him Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell.
