Is 9 Trophies In 10 Years A Good Return Under Sheikh Mansour’s Ownership?

FA Cup.

Negative. Losing to Wigan Athletic in the final. And the Mancini sacking mess the soured the whole day. All these years later I still can’t believe we lost that game and basically tosted the FA Cup away. Only winning it once.

I prefer not to think about that, the only really sour note of the last 10 years. I still feel the players really let us down that day

from the base we started from yes i think it is, hopefully we are turning into a juggernaut in the next 10

i saw a stat somewhere we have scored more goals than anyone else in that time

In answer to the op it's better than the fuck all we had for years before he bought us.

Anyone who knows anything about football knows it is not as simple to just turn up and win trophies

Considering where we were just over 10 years ago then absolutely. Never even thought we'd win a league cup let alone the Premier League.

However during the last 5 years I think we've underachieved in the Premier League by not recruiting properly after we the league. Hindered of course by ffp.

I hope we haven't made the same mistake this summer.

7 major trophies and 2 community shields, i do feel we sold ourselves short on 1 fa cup ( wigan ) and 1 community shield (2-0 up v rags ) still pisses me off.

ITS JUST THE START

Look mate, this isn’t a let’s have an argument and swear thread. It’s an easy going discussing on whether 9 trophies is a good return in 10 years.

But if you want to discuss the Charity Shield, then fair enough

It’s fair to say the Charity Sheild isn’t a trophy as such. It’s flat for starters. It’s won on the day, and after winning one match. However, go on any clubs website and it is listed on their honours board, and makes up a % of their trophy wins and success.

Go on to United’s OS trophy room website :-( and they have won the Charity Sheild *21 times*. Minus that off their trophy haul and it takes away a sizeable amount of trophies they have won. (Sorry, Ric) https://www.manutd.com/en/History/Trophy-Room/Community-Shield The same with Liverpool, etc.

It’s safe to say most supporters from every club don’t think the Charity Sheild is a trophy. But regardless of what supporters think, the Charity Sheild is classed as a trophy by the clubs, and as such, is seen as a valid trophy by the clubs.(Do me a fucking favour clubs)

It's recognised by the FA and UEFA too and apparently the League cup isn't.

It's been an amazing return when you consider we weren't capable of winning any trophies til may 2010/11. I love the FA Cup so really want us to win that again. The Wigan thing is really frustrating but when you go on to win league titles, we shouldn't beat ourselves too much! Really want the Champions League now and for us to kick on this season and beyond. The future is bright.
