I've been away for a while but the old weaknesses of Lescott and Richards' positioning were still there yesterday. The rags are still better as a unit, but man for man no one in England is better.

Barca and Madrid would hurt us.

Granted Lescott made a couple of errors yesterday, but Richards? Petrov got nowth out of him and yes the cross they scored from although it by-passed Richards there was two central defenders who should have been closer and got a block in.
Wilkins commented on Richards getting in the line of the crosses cutting them out.

Very true , it is hard to judge and get over excited over playing teams like Swansea and Bolton . But we have played some exceptional football in these two games and torn both teams apart , I for one am extremely excited for the rest of the season. If we can perform like we have done so far against Spurs this week , and walk away with 3 points , then I think we are favourites for the title , simple as that.

If the question is 'is anyone better than us at this moment in time?' I would say no. If the question is 'is anyone better than us and if not can we set the benchmark over the next few weeks/months' I would say lets wait and see. Exciting times though :)

We beat Swansea and Bolton, and suddenly we are the best team in the country and the 3rd best in Europe....wtf? We haven't even played in the CL yet, or won the league yet.

At the end of the day we have not played a top 5 team yet, which will tell us how far we have come. Sunday will be our chance against Spurs.

United raped us in the C.Shield not so long ago and have a better defense than us. We have the better squad, but they have a far better manager who proved it last season by winning the league with a pretty average squad.

Having watched (painfully) the scum against Spurs we are still some way behind them. I get the feeling that the scum players are playing with a fear of failure and that drives them on to be the best that they can be. The movement and passing is exceptional and their goals are nearly always well crafted and excecuted. They look like a team that wont drop too many points this season.

Can,t argue with any of that... I,m still not certain how good utd really are,but thats because i don,t like watching them,its too painful. i do struggle to understand how players like Young can suddenly be classed as world beaters by the media as soon as they pull on a red shirt..maybe its simply because he,s now surrounded by very good players..At some point i,m gonna have to bite the bullet and watch the scum and make my own mind up..Is tom cleverly really that good? how does giggs still influence premiership games at his age..not to mention the shame of shagging his brothers wife...is the mexican rent boy a real class player?..How come phil jones seems to have stepped up to the plate with such ease?.Is danny welbeck really a natural finisher who could haunt us for years to come..?
I hope we stay in the title race and match them all season..and that the football we are seeing from city now will get better still as the season goes on and the players get to know each others game which should lead to intricate, rapid passing movements which slice the best defences apart,all based around the classy centre forward play of Dzeko..
Hope Balo doesn,t spit his dummy out and can contribute fully this season..one things for certain in tight games against the top teams ,its moments of brilliance from balo and augero and johnson which are gonna be crucial.

I watched united today and in parts they didn't play that great. If Spurs had a decent midfield about them and went and pushed on in the game they could of probably won it. Teams have no bottle against united thats why they do so well. Lennon had a great chance in the second half he should of gave it VDV who would of probably made it 1-0 but no, he smashed it against Evans for some stupid reason.

Tom Cleverly didn't do much today nor did he vs West Brom, If they rely on him in the midfield vs the better teams who have actual centre midfielders he will struggle.
Jones hasn't been troubled much
Welbeck is not that good, I'm surprised he's still at united to be honest, he will be shipped out after a poor season

What it is with united they are a unit. They are always 1, like you said about Young becoming 'world class' now he's in a red shirt, yes thats only because he has other good players around him. Its also the way they play, when they attack they make sure 1 of the wingers is on the touchline which always gives him space when on the ball.

People are moaning about how everyones jumping the gun on how great City are playing, yet are worried about United. Give it time, they'll be the team to beat but they haven't impressed against the teams they played IMO.

I think when you see players leave Old Trafford you see the players turn into average footballers. Brown and O'shea watch them after a season with Sunderland, when they were with United they always seemed to put in good performances no matter who it was against.

I actually think we'll win the league, I don't see why we can't. We have the squad and the manager. We need abit of luck with goals and other things. Spurs next week is a huge game for us already. We need to go there and show who we are. We have the players/squad/team to beat them. We need to show that we can do it

Also, even though they did link up well at times, the amount of times they played a horrible pass, only for it to ricochet into another City player through on goal, or at least in a great position, was incredible. This particularly applied to Edin Dzeko, who for the second time in two matches got a goal this way, although to be fair the finish was good this time around.
