our most important player?
Just want to get opinions on this as at west brom last week it was really entertaining to watch and at times they couldn't get near us.
Maybe he is the most important piece of bobbys jigsaw what do you think.

I would say Tevez and De Jong are more important at the minute but Balotelli is crucial to our system as we need that one extra attacking threat up with Tevez and Silva, plus he is big and might get on the end of some of our crosses to invisible men.

We won't see the team Mancini intended us to play with this season until Balotelli, Kolarov, Boateng and Silva have all played four or five games in a row together.

Balotelli will be the key to the system I am sure.

Hugely unfortunate that he has barely played before December. Same for Kolarov.

I'd say he's one of our most important players.

But I'd say he is Mancini's most important player, he clearly doesnt rate any other striker apart from Tevez and Balo, so if Tevez isn't coming off then he has to rely on Balo... which he hasn't been able to do this year and was hugely evident yesterday when he took Tevez off to be replaced by Barry.

Posted this yesterday about Ballo I think he's dropped Bobby in the shit by getting suspended, but I think we need another option in Jan

Against West Brom was the first time that I saw anything like a team up front without Tevez having to do everything. I thought Ballo Tevez and Sylva linked up brilliantly and can't help thinking that the manager was looking at a similar set up for the derby. If it had come off then I think we would have blitzed the scum last week.
Unfortunately Ballo got the red card before Bobby could sub him and that was the end of that. For some reason Ade cannot be used in Ballo's place maybe because as the gooner fans told us when we bought him he blows hot and cold and I think bobby is justified in his opinion of him.
I think until Ballo is fit we will not be able to play consistant attacking football and we will have to put up with what we have for the moment. I also think that we will buy a prolific goalscorer in Jan. Until then, I live in hope that Carlos can continue to pull us out of the shit and is not driven away by the pressure.

Silva ;)

Ballio is the not-so-secret weapon. Staggeringly talented who immediately increases the goal scoring potential tenfold, and gives everybody else within smelling distance of the opps penalty area further opportunity to cause damage. I bet Mancini has found it extremely difficult to be nice to Mario since his sending off!

Easy to get carried away with what he would have done on Wednesday and Saturday but MANUre and Brum would have been mightily worried had he been starting.

Not at all.

Guys like Kompany De Jong and Tevez are more important.

There is however a huge chance that he could develop into our most important player and possibly the best player in the world.

He will be important. But the most pressing thing is that we are building a nucleus - Hart, Vinny, Nige, Silva, Tevez, Balo. That's as strong as anything in the league.

certainly need someone to provide some goals, if balotelli can keep his mind on the job and get us 10 plus goals between now and the end of the season that could be the difference between 3rd/4th and 5th/6th, could do with silva, milner, barry and johnson chipping in as well not to mention a few headed goals from set pieces as well. The quality of shooting in and around the box was very poor yesterday.

Get the feeling the players are feeling the pressure and it is affecting their ability to do the simple things well
